Torque and power delivery
Bosch CX Gen 5 delivers up to 85Nm with smooth, progressive assist refined over years of e-MTB development. Avinox M2S pushes 130Nm standard (150Nm in Boost) with a more explosive character on steep, technical climbs. CX feels predictable on mixed terrain; Avinox feels stronger when you need maximum punch.
Battery and charging
Bosch offers removable batteries and range extenders on many frames — flexible for multi-battery households or long days. Avinox on the Mondraker Zendit uses a fixed 800Wh internal battery with integrated charging — cleaner lines, less swap flexibility.
CX on the Crafty in practice
On Mondraker Crafty builds, CX delivers enough torque for Midlands climbs in Trail mode without the abrupt surge some riders dislike on loose surfaces. Removable batteries suit riders who want a spare for long days or who store the bike indoors without dragging the whole frame to a socket.
